Talkeetna is located in South Central Alaska, approximately 112 road miles north of Anchorage. The historic town is based at the confluence of three glacier fed rivers; The Talkeetna, Susitna, and Chulitna.

Earn your Airplane Single Engine Sea Rating while exploring the added freedom of float flying in a 180 hp PA-18 SuperCub. You will learn new skills while discovering the numerous lakes of the upper Susitna valley. The Float Course includes normal, rough, glassy water, and confined area takeoffs and landings, as well as idle, step and plow taxiing. The course covers docking, ramping, beaching, and even a little fishing on the side. The Float Rating consists of 2 hours of ground instruction and 2 flights per day. Your check ride will take place on the third day.

The Aero Club Como is the oldest seaplane flight operation in the world.
