Wipline® 3450 Floats

For outstanding performance and reliability on hard surface runways, grass strips or your favorite lake or river the Wipline 3450 floats give you the best of both worlds.

The Wipline 3450 float was designed using the latest C.A.D. (Computer Aided Design) technology. The aluminum parts and skins are laser cut and all rivet holes are pre-punched. This means replacement parts are a perfect fit. The main keel has a removable wear strip for ease of maintenance. With this technology we are able to build the 3450 float to be ultra light and still north-country rugged.

Wipline 3450 Floats are available for installation on:

Features & Benefits

  • Amphibious or seaplane floats available
  • Features 200 pounds more maximum flotation than our competitor (up to 4,000 pounds for the amphibious and 4,196 pounds for seaplane floats)
  • Significantly more forward buoyancy for safer and easier downwind taxiing and upwind turns
  • Largest gross weight increase in the market, 3,792 pounds approved for takeoff and landing weights

Wipline® 10000 Floats

Wildfires pit time and nature against fire crews. The Fire Boss scooping single engine tanker helps them gain the upper hand. That’s because no other air tanker attacks fires with the tempo, agility, and effectiveness of the Fire Boss.

The Fire Boss is the result of equipping an Air Tractor AT-802 or AT-802A with Wipline 10000 scooping floats and a range of additional modifications. Wipline 10000 floats are based on our legendary Wipline 13000 floats for the Twin Otter.

Wipline® 13000 Floats

Wipline model 13000 floats are performance oriented to provide low maintenance and high-reliability for series 100, 200 and 300 (short nose and long nose) de Havilland DHC-6 Twin Otter aircraft. Efficient fluted bottoms accommodate a wide range of water conditions. Deadrise angle contour from bow to step is designed for rough water versatility and heavyweight takeoff performance.

Hull components are etched, alodined and epoxy primed before assembly, assuring that there is no exposed bare metal. All mechanical components are stainless cad-plated steel and anodized aluminum. The nose gear features a full-caster wheel mounted on a composite nose spring, which retracts into the float nose to provide a dock bumper.
