Our selection of gross weight increases will help you get the most utility out of your 182. The 3,500 and 3,370 lb gross weight increases boast a greatly improved forward CG envelope that gives you more loading flexibility. You will no longer need to add weight to the baggage compartment in order to carry two people and full fuel or four people with half tanks.

Performance at Gross Weight on Wipline 3000 Floats
If you fly a Wipline 3000-equipped Cessna 182 with the AirPlains IO-550 engine conversion, consider upgrading to the new Hartzell Trailblazer carbon fiber structural composite propeller.
This propeller reduces take off noise, improves take-off performance and removes approximately 20 lbs (9 kg) off the nose when compared to the aluminum prop. The Trailblazer showed a 30% decrease in water take-off at full gross, 17% decrease on land and a 10% increase in rate of climb when compared to a traditional metal Hartzell propeller! This propeller is truly a powerhouse that will help you get the best performance possible out of your upgraded 182 on Wipline 3000 floats.
The new carbon fiber composite Hartzell Trailblazer series 82″ propeller is standard equipment equipment with our Boss 182 Lycoming IO-580 engine conversion, both landplane and seaplane configurations. We are excited to now offer this outstanding propeller for IO-550 floatplanes as well!
Wipaire offers a selection of propellers from Hartzell and McCauley. These include upgrades and replacement props both new and used.
Yukon Propeller by Wipaire and Hartzell
Wipaire is proud to introduce the new Hartzell four-blade carbon composite prop, the Yukon, which offers Caravans up to a 31% decrease in total take-off distance from water and up to a 26% decrease from land.

Available for the Cessna 182, Cessna 185 and Cessna 206!
Ready for a prop upgrade? Maybe the Hartzell Trailblazer carbon fiber composite propeller is just what you’ve been missing! Benefits of the Trailblazer propeller include a significant weight reduction, improved take-off performance and no RPM limitation. This propeller is truly a powerhouse that will help you get the best performance possible out of your aircraft.
Durable, field-replaceable nickel cobalt leading edge
Nickel erosion screen for foreign object damage protection
Thinner blade with a wider chord for improved performance
Designed to be quieter than comparable propellers
Carbon fiber composition is 5-10x stronger than natural fiber propeller cores
The Trailblazer prop pulls hard and really performs. It’s an improvement in every regard, from weight to thrust to climb performance, and that makes it a great prop for any performance application, whether on floats or wheels. Its shape and design also make it a quiet prop, which keeps your neighbors happy.
Trailblazer for the Cessna 182
The new carbon fiber composite Hartzell Trailblazer series 82″ propeller is standard equipment with our Boss 182 Lycoming IO-580 engine conversion in both landplane and seaplane configurations. We are pleased to offer this outstanding propeller for IO-550 floatplanes as well.
20 lbs (9 kg) lighter than the Hartzell aluminum prop
30% decrease in water take-off at full gross and 17% decrease on land
10% increase in rate of climb when compared to a traditional metal Hartzell propeller
The new carbon fiber composite Hartzell Trailblazer series 82″ propeller is available for Cessna 185 models with the IO-550-D engine installed via Wipaire STC SA1522GL or Texas Skyways STC SA09960SC in both landplane and seaplane configurations.
14.6 lbs lighter than the Hartzell metal 80″ prop (model: PHC-C3YF-1RF/F8468A-6R)
3.1 lbs lighter than the McCauley 80″ prop (model: D3A34C401/90DFA-10)
The new carbon fiber composite Hartzell Trailblazer series 84″ propeller is available for Cessna T206H models in both landplane and seaplane configurations. The 84″ Trailblazer propeller is approved in the United States and Canada via Supplemental Type Certificate SA04053CH.
19.2 lbs lighter than the Hartzell aluminum floatplane prop (model: HC-F3YR-1RF/F8468-2R)
8.9 lbs lighter than the McCauley landplane prop (model: B3D36C432/80VSA-1)
8% reduction in ground roll and water run compared to a metal floatplane propeller (as tested on a Wipline 3450-equipped T206H)
5% increase in climb and removes the RPM limitation
The pitch lock system is approved for Caravans with the 3-blade McCauley 3GFR34C703/106GA-0 propeller installed under Supplemental Type Certificates SP033376CH and SA03379CH.
Pitch locks provide additional safety by improving the close-quartering control of a floatplane, which is critical when docking. The pitch locks prevent the propeller from going to high pitch automatically upon engine shutdown.
